Management/Financial Accountant

Dubai

Based at Legatum’s headquarters in Dubai UAE, an exciting and challenging role exists for a qualified accountant to partner senior management in managing specific international operations, capital projects and other investments.  The role will suit a hands-on accountant wanting to work within a small finance team and assume full responsibility for areas under his/her financial management.

The Candidate:

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and post graduate accounting qualification 

• Minimum five years post qualified experience, preferably in a blue chip environment 

• Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and ideally Sun systems 

• English speaker (no other language is required)

Role/Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop management reporting for specific business operations, projects and investments

• Manage key relationships such as those with senior management, project managers, bankers

  and suppliers 

• Contribute to the enhancement of the control environment and streamlining of processes 

• Multi-currency cash management and forecasting 

• Ad hoc reporting and analysis to supplement regular management reporting 

• Perform month end reconciliations and other general ledger maintenance 

• Perform due diligence on project and operational disbursements 

• Liaise with external auditors at semi-annual and annual audits
